I loved this book! Trigger there are some discussions around disordered eating. For me with history of eating disorders I was fine to get through it. I’m obsessed with hockey romances now. I grew up in a hockey family and it brought me some nostalgia for sure!

I didn't want to like this book. But I did. I liked it. Quite a lot. I thought it was basically going to be a retelling of the movie, The Cutting Edge, but it was so much more than that.

It was cute and well-written and its characters were well-developed. I loved the references to mental health and therapy, I'm all for anything that normalizes both. The way it tackled slut-shaming and consent also were impressive, if not maybe a wee bit forced. But I'll take that over ignoring their importance entirely.

I've got the next one in the series, Wildfire, already lined up. Oh, and I have to note how excited I was that it came with its own playlist. Books with playlists are my newest obsession.

I loved it tbh. I definitely understand wanting it to be shorter, but I’m a bitch who used to read millions of words of fanfiction a week. Like I’m never gonna get tired of reading about characters I like being put in situations for my entertainment.

Was NOT expecting this level of smut from a book from Tiktok bc usually Booktok books are mid as hell.

Update: thought about it and I still hate that she spent 400 pages saying how this character would never get pregnant and wanted to adopt instead of ever being pregnant and then knocks the bitch up in the epilogue. Removing a star bc baddies deserve baby-free books
