This has been a fun children's story to read to the girls this summer. I think the author did well unto the original. I love allegory themes, they are so quick they pick up everything.

I am on my way through this a second time with my children. it is a retelling for children and I find I learn so much from it as an adult. It is a beautiful story of following the path, even when it is hard, and how it is all worth it in the end.

As a child, this was the very first book that was mine and I loved it. I still have this tattered paperback gifted to me by my mother. I knew it was really a moral story about God, but for me this was an amazing adventure story and the book that began my love affair with fantasy fiction.

I read Little Pilgrim's Progress as a yonugin' and remember enjoying it. I recently read it to my siblings and it was alright but I did not particularly like the way the narrative went sometimes. I did enjoy the people and scenes that were shown. It was dark sometimes but it showed how the Christians go through dark paths, God doesn't promise that life will be easy and grand all the time. Overall it's a allegory for children to read and understand.
