This book was a childhood favorite, so when I saw this beautiful illustrated version I had to have it. I had forgotten how lovely this story is.
This was my first time reading it as an adult and I found myself pondering many of the questions put forth and the differences in Christian's pilgrimage verses Christiana's.
Though a children's book, I think there is a great deal of encouragement and learning to be found for people of all ages.

This book is an AMAZING jumping off point to speak with kids about the deeper truths of the world and especially Christianity. I was about to have dozens of very important conversations with my son just because of the character names and events of the book.

There are a few theological differences I have with the author (and original author that the work is based off of), but the those were things I was able to glance over as I read it with my son. Also, the first half of the book was far clearer and easier to follow.

Great book; read with 4.5 yr old but we enjoyed it most because we’d read the little pilgrims big journey first. Quite long. Nonetheless, excellent.

Lovely book with good lessons to learn and a good storyline if you aren't ready to see the lessons within. Great for kids to learn about being a disciple of Christ but in a more entertaining way than straight up sermons. My only complaint was that it was a little long. I was itching for a new book by the end of it.

I think this is a book worth reading but I thought it was almost too straight forward. That could be because this is the children’s version but everything was so straightforward, I think it would have been enjoyable if there was more room to guess what things were supposed to mean. Example: the characters are named things like Christian, Valiant, Feeble-Minded, etc.

We read this book to our toddler at bedtime. Not only did she enjoy it, but my husband and I looked forward to reading it every night as well. We look forward to revisiting this story when she is a little older and can more fully understand the story.
