For all the sometimes cringeworthy errors, I thoroughly enjoyed this series.

I read that people really like the battles, but I think the siege part was the weakest part of the story (it's basically a rehash of the siege of Troy in ancient Greece). The best parts were when Lymee navigates the minefield that is nobility and politics in the Kingdom. She doesn't put up with any of the shit that the nobility is throwing at her.

Although I said in my review of the first book that I couldn't recommend it, I think you can't really go wrong with the series as a whole, and I'm eagerly awaiting the next one.

One thing that really bugged me, though. An event that has tremendous impact on Lymee in The Wandering Traveler, still has her haunting two years later. But at least spell it correctly. When she finally talks about when she was raped, it really doesn't work when she says "I was rapped."
