These Golden Age Wonder Woman stories tend to be quite strange and have a certain dreamlike quality about them. The constant emphasis on submission and bondage does carry with it a disturbing subtext for children's entertainment, however.
I will say that Etta Candy is a fantastic character. She may be a stereotypical fat character; always interested in sweets, but she is self-confident, knows what she likes, and she takes no guff from anyone. And I'd argue she is a more valuable sidekick to Wonder Woman than Steve Trevor.

DNF. The stories were strange and it wasn't for me.

As much as I love Wonder Woman, my gosh this is very dated.
The tone feels like I'm reading a radio series, some if the panels really work Wonder Woman's figure, and there's much made of women being strong, standing against men, okay always when cruel men are using them, but even so, it gets a little thin after awhile, and I'm female. There's some ideas I'm not sure about - women training in chains to make them strong and prove themselves to the Goddess Aphrodite, and a Sky Kangaroo?? Okay, I'll have to just roll with it.
However, there's some very entertaining tales. Because of the time they were written, 1943, Nazi's and Japanese villains make an appearance. Because we can't forget there's a war on, even in the comic book world, and evil will always be beaten by good and true heroes.
In certainly interesting seeing Wonder Woman's early days, and seeing that the essence of the character is still there; peace, justice, and helping women of the time to see they can be stronger than they believe.

I do love these early Wonder Woman stories, utterly bonkers but with really interesting facets to them.
It loses a star because it has some rather disappointing racial politics at times, but overall the good outweighs the bad.
