April 2023 reread:
“You keep me whole,” I profess. “And love - that dreaded, beautiful word - love.” I breathe, “Love is two wholes. We are two-hundred percent - an illogical number, maddening, and I will forever embrace every illogical, maddening second with you.”

July 2022 reread:
Reading my old review for this book and I still feel the exact same! Thatcher and Jane are complex characters and there’s a lot that goes into why these two characters work together but also love takes work and it’s made very clear in Sinful. I can appreciate the heavier tones for this book, because, like many of Krista and Becca’s books, it’s a character study and I just find so fascinating to see how all the characters will react in certain situations.

October 2021 reread:
For as light hearted as Jane and Thatcher’s first book is, this one definitely hits on some more serious tones - but I don’t love it any less! Jane and Thatcher really had to tackle some important parts of their relationship - some of it is challenging to read because they’re so down on themselves but in those moments it’s so clear why they’re perfect for each other beyond just one is chatty and the other is stoic. Jane and Thatcher know each other so well, and they can pull the other one up in a way that feels so healthy for them - some of the solutions aren’t perfect, but they’re not completely changing who they are as individuals. They’re just learning to add their different pieces together. And I love the little easter eggs and nods to Rose and Connor’s relationship and some of the parallels in their daughter’s. Also that last chapter, it just completely melts my heart, that after all the trials and tribulations, where Jane and Thatcher wind up is so perfect for them. I do adore these two soso much!

This book PERFECTLY fleshed out Thatcher And Janes relationship! It was so grand! And OMG THE QUARANTINED SCOTLAND TRIP HIT HOME FOR SURE! Who would have thought you guys would have written that in not knowing 2020 would bring…

Anyway, I adored Thatchers arc and getting more familiar with the Cobalt Empire (that’s to say that it’s still a huge mystery haha).

And OMG CHARLIE. Is the throppled love child of Draco Malfoy, Tommy Shelby and that YA male protagonist from the book A Cruel Prince. Aesthetics wise. tell me I’m wrong I dare you!!

Back to Thatch and Jane, unlike with Farrow Moffy, I would be happy to have just for two books for them. While Farrow and Moffy I’m gunning for a fourth book for them. WOOP WOOP.

And ok that note, I’m off to start headstrong like us!

Where to start *takes a deep breath* I guess with positive and why I'm giving it 2 stars also this very very generous from me:

1. Cobalt empire I'm only here because of them.Charlie like always stole book, what a iconic character Maximoff wishes that he can be him. Him and Beckett broken my heart so many times in this book.Cobalt boys showing up at bar and tormenting Thatcher was amazing and Cobalt empire wednesday night is iconic. I say this everytime but Cobalts especially Charlie better not end up with bodyguard. Enough with that!!!

2.Core six breadcrumbs bring me back to life I love them and miss them.

Now my rant:

1. Why does every book of Jane feel like she is sharing it half with Maximoff. Thatcher's POV was super cringy and I never connect with ista-love that he has with Jane. I can't even hate them like marrow they are just super boring. Why did they get 2 books and marrow 4 is beyond me.

2. Maximoff hypocrisy has no limits. There is age gap between him and Farrow as well. Did KBR forgotten that ? Why drag Ryke and Daisy into that conversation? Charlie trow book at Maximoff not bomb why does Farrow have to be such drama queen? I hate both them so much and their fake nice guys routine. Also making Beckett and Sulli fight was just so Maximoff can push his ass into her book and look like a "hero" I SEE YOU, VILLAIN.

3. Bodyguards: Akara and strangely Banks better Moretti are the only ones with personality. The rest of them can go away and I wouldn't even notice or care. I'm not going into poly relationships stuff because nothing happened here.Beckett and Jo again with this, this maybe can have potential if she remains fighter not bodyguard. Even though Beckett deserves love interest that is ballerina.

Anyway I'm continuing this for Charlie and Cobalt empire even though next book is totally unnecessary and unwanted 4th marrow book.

It was so close to being five stars. The only problem was there was a few things about this book that just made me want to stop reading books in general, but it was only like one or two moments in the whole book, but those moments were too strong for me to look over them and say this is a five star book it was really good and it would’ve been five stars. If it wasn’t for those moments it was definitely amazing, but there was certain moments where I just you know Didn’t love it.
