<blockquote> And as I think, I realize I am going about this wrong. P’nee does not want to risk her heart, but she is attracted to me. She likes touching me. Her smiles are bright and welcoming and I still think about that kiss in the fruit cave. I walked away because I promised her I would keep her heart safe. I am a fool. Who am I keeping her heart safe for?... Am I not the best mate for P’nee? I should be trying to win her heart, not keep it safe for another hunter. Once I have won her to my furs, then the only problem is resonance. And resonance might happen in a full turn of the moon, or twenty. It might never happen. G’hail has not resonated to V’za and they are happy together. P’nee might resonate a very, very long time from now. I want her forever. I want all her days. But there is no sense in worrying over what might happen in the future. P’nee might resonate to me. She might not resonate at all. A great smoking mountain might destroy the land all over again. I cannot live hoping that bad things do not happen. I must take each day and embrace it. I must take the female I want and claim her. <blockquote>

I really wanted to love Penny but she just annoyed me too much. I think this was well written and I had hyped it up for the fat girl representation, but the characters and story is just not one of my favorites. Still a good read!

Penny and S'bren are one of my favourite couples now! After reading Callie's Catastrophe I was not sure how much I would like this drug induced kidnapping. But Ruby Dixon has pulled it off once again!

The demeanor and reaction of S'bren after realising the wrongs in this methods is what sold this as 'meant to be' in my mind. At times I did find S'bren a bit like a stalker but majority of the time I saw him as devoted and pure.

Many times when I read Ruby Dixon books it is usually the alien mate that peeks my interest. But the heroine of this story, Penny just made my day. Penny is so adventurous, free-willed and plus sized! I think I love Penny so much because I relate to her, HARD. She is a people pleaser, especially when she is in a relationship. Always putting her partners needs above her own, even though they are literal jerks. I feel like she was self aware and easy going and a badass for wanting to be a huntress and being independent.

I love the adventure this couple goes on. And even though it did not provide too much to the main plot as I was expecting, it was a great ride! This couple just gelled well together in my mind and deserves the 5 stars! This is one I will re-read again and again...

Two Sweethearts

Penny and her mate were just precious! They both wanted the other but feared resonance would choose someone else!! I loved their adventures
