This is fluffy and feels star wars fan fic-esque if that makes sense?
This author gets great ratings on her work and I wanted something a bit more sci fi for a bit in between my other genres. Instead I was left with a limp biscuit of a series. I had the trilogy as an audiobook so I have read all three but this is... just a limp biscuit of a series I fear. It has some good bits but nothing that kept me overly interested the series.
That's not to say it's a bad series just could be so much better.

Although short, this snapshot into Leonidas's mind was so fun and a nice change of pace. I also really liked some serious one on one between Leonidas and Alisa which in the ever-lively Nomad is rather rare. Maybe not a necessity for story comprehension but if you have the chance then I wouldn't pass it up!

Very quick little interlude with Alisa and Leonidas. Quips, fighting, a little flirting and realisations about Leonidas' situation. I have a feeling this one will pay off in the next book too, so let's see what happens.
