The ending was beautiful but I didn't really care about the rest of it

While I have felt that a lot of the novellas in the Ghosts of the Shadow Market collection have been too long, this novella felt very rushed. I didn’t feel like the plot was particularly strong and I didn’t enjoy the parts that were entered around what was going on in Tessa’s head. There is a reveal at the end that was exciting to see, but it didn’t make the whole novella better. It was, for the lack of a better word, meh.

Oh, that is just rude.
“Do you see him, too?” Tessa whispered.
“I see him,” Jem said...”

Rosemary’s story is so heartbreaking. Ugh!

Oh my goodness I loved this. It tied together so many ends in the Shadowhunter series you weren’t even aware were loose. It put together a multitude of storylines — so many that I had to go back and reread certain novellas to remind myself of what had occurred. This novella more so than any other truly highlights the importance of taking risks with love and embracing loss rather than hiding from it. It was a joy to finish this series and the ending makes me emphasize even more the importance of this last piece in our puzzle.
