A friend gave us this beautiful book and my preschooler loves it. The lush, gorgeous illustrations appealed to her early on, before she had the attention span to listen to the words. Now that she can listen a little longer, she loves the blessings and sometimes recites lines from the shorter ones around the house ("Peace from my heart to your heart"). It's provided a great entry point into conversations about different spiritual traditions and cultures. (e.g. "This one is a special blessing Jewish people say - like our friends X and Y - remember when we were at their house and they said this prayer?")

P.S. As a Pagan, I really appreciated having prayers and blessings from my tradition represented here.

P.P.S. Could you not attribute a prayer simply as "African"? More specific source information would be nice, please - just like all the other blessings in the book have.
