I really enjoyed this book and thought the content was very interesting and presented in an engaging way. I felt like I learned a lot, even surrounding topics I’m already familiar with.

3.5⭐️ This was definitely an interesting listen but at times hit a bit too “cis white feminist girlboss” if you catch my drift. Somewhat narrow view of both feminism and linguistics, despite sections dedicated to AAVE and queer language. Just wished there was a wider range / deeper dives on these subjects I suppose, but overall a fascinating topic and definitely learned a lot.

Some chapters were more interesting than others. Overall, I just wish it were longer, to allow a deeper analysis of certain topics.
