Damn it...I still think this novella only scratched the surface of the in between world and I want and need so much more of it! I think the in between world, where the witnesses live and go to court over whether or not they can interfere with the lives of the living, is really interesting and would be an interesting scenery for a full novel itself. I wish we had seen more than just glimpses of it, but I've already fallen in love with it.

What I also love is Kat's side of the story to everything that happened in Mad Zombie Party. There were a few moral issues that didn't get much background in the original novel, but are perfectly explained over here. I also think Kat addresses her own shortcomings perfectly well and that makes her likable, even when she does a few very horrible things.

What I do notice is that Gena Showalter doesn't differ much in voices of her characters. Kat, Cole, Frosty, Milla, Ali, they all have a way of talking that's a little too similar for my taste. Based on quotes or short phrases taken out of their stories, I wouldn't be able to guess who's story they came from. I know that creating different voices is one of the hardest parts of writing, but it's also an important part of making your characters feel real.

I am however curious to read the other Gena Showalter books and I can't wait to start with Second Life as soon as the Dutch boxset gets released!

So, um, I guess I kind of hate Kat? I'm really glad this was a novella and not a full novel because I would not have been able to finish it. Sorry Kat-lovers, but this was a unnecessary and kind of painful to read.

Completely unnecessary and pretty boring, since it doesn't add anything new.

This was a really fantastic novella, I loved getting Kat's perspective and her story, though it was bittersweet, but such a great read!

I like the idea behind hearing the story from Kat's perspective but it wasn't as amazing as the other books, maybe because I already know what's going to happen.

Title: Kat in Zombieland
Author: Gena Showalter
Series: The White Rabbit Chronicles book 4.1
Rating:5/5 stars
Format: E-book

Why'd you pick this book? This series is my favorite of 2019 so far and I didn’t want it ot be over. Its that good, seriously

Summary: Kat Parker is dead. And awesome. But mostly dead. She’s become a Witness, a spirit with a single goal: save her ex-boyfriend Frosty and win the war against zombies. Okay, she has two goals.

Devastated by the loss of Kat, Frosty the zombie slayer chases one dangerous situation after another. He is locked in a fierce battle of good against evil, light against dark, and his recklessness has put him on a collision course with destruction. Not even his fellow slayers can help him. But Kat is determined, and she's willing to do whatever it takes to succeed. Even putting Frosty in the path of a new love…

Previously excerpted on Wattpad, this never-before published novella set in the White Rabbit Chronicles world provides readers with Kat’s point of view during the events of A Mad Zombie Party.

This is the part where I say I read this before the final book, so it honestly spoiled some stuff for me but I don’t regret it

Favorite and Least Favorite part: Favorite: Kat’s point of view! And the inside view of the afterlife is super cool too. Least: I did read it out of order cause I’m dumb but even worse than that, she killed Kat
