Note: This is the 4th book in the Pendragon series. There will inherently be spoilers for the series below. Proceed with caution.

General Description: Veelox is the next territory Bobby Pendragon has to try and save from their turning point. However, traveler Aja Killian tells him it's fine, that she has it under control. The issue: everyone wants to live in the perfect reality that Lifelight creates for them. Aja's solution: The reality bug. This bug will make people's reality in Lifelight less than perfect, hopefully encouraging them to get back into the real world to produce food, people, and other aspects of a society. However, is it really that simple? Bobby isn't sure and he sticks around to see. How will the Reality Bug work and will it truly stop Saint Dane? It almost feels too easy...

ALL the goods:
- Aja Killian could call me an idiot and I'd hug her; i love her personality and her character growth.
- Lifelight is so well described and I love the science fiction aspect added into the series.
- The Mark and Courtney second earth story lines are getting more complex and added a layer I think the series greatly benefit from
- Being able to go so many places in one book kept the book engaging the entire time.
- Finally, Bobby. Bobby is my favorite character of all time because of how he grows after each challenge, how he isn't just good or bad, and I think the Reality Bug really sets up the further complexities we will see from Bobby as we continue reading the series.

Overall, if you've started the series, how can you stop?! Keep going!!

Any fan of science fiction will love this installment of The Pendragon Series! I haven't read anything quite like the world that MacHale created here! The new characters we meet and the fantastical concepts in this book really put it over the top! It was such a joy reading this book!

It seems that the imagination of D.J. MacHale knows no bounds. Each world that Bobby Pendragon finds himself in is more amazing than the last.

It's finally time for Bobby to face Veelox, the technological territory where everything is supposedly under control. But Veelox's smart, overconfident Traveler Aja may not be as in control as she believes.

On Veelox, everyone is safely ensconced in a virtual reality program called Lifelight, where your perfect fantasies can brought to life. But the reality of Veelox is dying out because no one is living in it anymore. So Aja develops a computer virus called the Reality Bug, designed to gradually ease the population away from the perfection of Lifelight. But viruses are designed to do one thing; cause chaos.

Bobby, with the help of the warrior Loor and the slowly thawing Aja, must go in search of Lifelight's creator, Dr. Zetlin, before the Reality Bug does Saint Dane's bidding...and destroys Veelox.

Bobby's journal narration is as strong as ever, and the concepts of this new world are easy and exciting to jump into. And back on Second Earth, Mark and Courtney are beginning to get the adventures they've been hoping for, as they learn about becoming acolytes. And the ending of this one...well, let's just say I hope I get the next book soon!

Short review: This was the best since the first book. But I still a bit bored with the series as an adult. I think this is just a series designed for early teens and does not translate well to adults. I think it is a fairly well written set of books, but it is unlikely I will read many more.

Not my favorite in the series but it wasn’t terrible either! I enjoyed it. Nothing has compared to the second book though.

Where to start ... First of all, I want to make it clear that I am a fan of the Pendragon series and would like to keep it that way. Now about the book. I understand what MacHale tried to do, I love Veelox and the world within, but at some point, it was torture for me to even pick up the book. There were parts where it was interesting because the characters are trying to face something and the parts that I liked the most was when Loor was there, but at some point the presence of Doctor Zetlin lengthened things, however he would contribute a lot of information for the book to reach the final climax and close. When I finished the book, as I mentioned before, I understood where MacHale wanted the Veelox adventure to go, but the personalities of Aja and Bobby don't match, which may be good, it's a great element of drama, but in this case, it makes it boring and kind of annoying. Whether if there was suppose to be a clash moment between these two (speaking of decisive moments to make top-priority decisions) or it happened, but it wasn't that shocking to be a jaw-dropping big part of the drama or it just didn't happen at all. I appreciate the book for its amazing world and how MacHale manages to create an unimaginable world within another unimaginable world. It is simply amazing. The Reality Bug disappointed me a bit, but overall it's a good book that has a big impact on future books.

Really good book, not my favorite tho. A bit annoyed with Mark at the end tbh. Can't wait to be on Eelong.
