I listened to this as an audiobook and enjoyed it. I gave it a 3.5 and rounded up to a 4. I had very high expectations going into this book though so I think that may have set it up for a bit of failure. The book was interesting, but I felt dragged out a bit. I enjoyed the ending but didn’t believe it to be shocking. Overall good book, and I look forward to reading her new book soon!

arghhhhh i was hoping that the plot twist would be sufficient enough for me to get past the main character who literally thought she was y/n in a fucked up wattpad story but alas … it was not… for a second there i thought the book was going to reveal jessica as a straight up serial killer which would have been baller but noooo… she was just a pick me… idc about her backstory dawg like almost everyone in this damn book has daddy issues!!!! caro i’m sorry they did u dirty my weird little stalker </3

what a let down. i loved the cover and title of this book, but unfortunately felt the complete opposite for everything else.
i absolutely l o a t h e d the characters. damn near no redeeming qualities for any of them. i only saw people who were immature, whiny, and way too secretive at their big age. Caroline is the only one who had some sense towards the end. and why did this whole group even bother staying friends with Court if she was a major bitch??? 😤
most of the “twists” were not twisting. they fell flat and by the end i didn’t care much about who killed Heather. in fact, i didn’t even really know who Heather was as a character because she wasn’t developed like the rest, yet i’m supposed to care about her death???
i’m giving this book two stars instead of one because of Jessica’s explanation towards the very end. i can honestly say i wasn’t expecting it.
this is also the second book i’ve read and disliked from the same author. maybe Ashley Winstead is just not for me…

Devoured this in a day and absolutely loved it! It’s been a while since I’ve been so enthralled by a book. Would definitely recommend if you’re a murder mystery/thriller fan - a really easy and engaging read.
