Have been a fan of KKU for quite a while now bc of Autostraddle, so jumped at the chance to get a limited edition hardcover of this gay ghost story. Felt very much like Haunting of Hill House meets Happiest Season (that’s the Kristen Stewart Christmas movie, right??) but also its own thing. Saved this for a spooky read on Halloween night and gobbled it up in one sitting while having a solo tea party with myself—how fitting! Can’t wait to read longer work from KKU!!

A fun, short gay horror story. It feels like it's right on the edge of being great, not just good.

fascinating exploration of grief that centers a queer relationship. so much to unpack in so few pages. the building of tension was brilliant here. it had huge get out vibes. i think the final sequence could have used just a few more pages, but otherwise this was such a layered and intriguing perspective, everything i want out a of a queer ghost/haunted house story

This was super trippy, unexpected, and brilliantly done. This gave me big "Get Out" vibes, but queer!

didn't compel me while I was reading it unfortunately, maybe because it was so short. interesting concept but didn't really stick with me
