Thoroughly enjoyed the different art styles in this graphic novel. It follows a continuous story throughout the issues.

Story: ★★★½ – Art: ★★★★★

I read this on a tablet, and now I want a hardcover copy anyway just because James Stokoe's art in this is absolutely incredible!

A book I've had on my shelf for a while, I decided to finally crack it open and get into the action. I'd heard so many good things about it and it did not disappoint. In the story we follow Ota Murakami through his 50 year journey/battle with the King of Monsters. We see his fear turn into motivation as he is recruited by a special team, tasked with the job of taking out Godzilla. James Stokoe does an outstanding job of bringing us an all around fun and action packed tale with great characters and a satisfying ending. The artwork (also provided by Stokoe) is also awesome and fits the story very well. I'd recommend this read to any Godzilla fans or anyone trying to get into Godzilla. Straight up good stuff!

The life story of a man and a monster. The art is the obvious draw here but the story is told with wit, imagination and real character and it weaves through Godzilla canon and world events.

I love Stokoe's art and writing. The two combine to create a raucous cacophony.

Picked this up because I liked the Godzilla: King of the Monsters film that came out recently and wanted to know more about the universe. Great artwork with a so-so story.
