Wow, what an incredible read. I read this book before I listened to the audio and I'm glad I did. In reading it, I caught all the philosophical commentary and the very accurate perspectives of human behavior/nature. Cole is a smart, astute observer of human nature, all its follies but also its beauties. But she doesn't bog the reader down with boring, judgmental crap. She does it in such a funny, witty and insightful way.

This story was so unique too. For a shorter story, I completely bought the love that built between Trinity and Li Wei. I adored the friendships and the maternal figure of Dolores Zhang. And you can't go wrong with a smart cute cat as a character either. There were some plot holes that never got explained, but on the whole, the story was so good that I forgive the lack of explanation.

This was my first Alyssa Cole and I am very much looking forward to reading her other diverse genre of books.

Fun sci-fi romance between a woman with PTSD and a cyborg with memory loss.  Fun friends and a robotic cat!

That was fun! Charming characters, interesting premise, serviceable writing, and quick pacing. Honestly would recommend for anyone wanting a short, fast paced read.

I'm screaming "What a pity!!!" at the top of my lungs. Dear Miss Cole, please tell me this is an abridged version and you have a full length version sitting in your computer? With such awesome characters, setting and plot line, how can you write a story so short. There's little time for character development or world building. So much more could be explored like:

1) Trinity's personal story;
2) Trinity & Li Wei's backstory (not enough)
3) The Hive corporation

And on and on. I'm not sure if this book is a complete standalone or part of a series (seems like the latter as there seems to be another book about another character) but really Miss Cole, just please expand this book. It's got all the potential to be a 5-star book, but you must expand the plot, polish the world building, add more depth to character development.

P.S. Li Wei could easily be my favorite male character of the year but there's inadequate story about him. What a pity (cries). I love Li Wei, I envy Trinity so much though I will not trade places with her. I don't want to battle AI anytime soon though I sincerely wish I can get an AI who can chat with me before I part with this world.

Okay, so I listened to the audiobook for this and its a full cast with a lot going on so I wasn't sure how I felt about it at first. I also was a little annoyed by some of the things the female lead said when she first met the male lead and how clueless she seemed. BUT as the book went on the more I got into the romance and the MORE invested I become. LOVED the perspective of the male lead and all of the deeper plot and story that we got as time went on.

Very high 4 stars bordering on 5 stars. This was great!

This was an absolute treasure of a story. I loved its smartness, spiciness, and the complex plot twists. The only thing that could have made this book better would have been for there to be more of it.

I liked this audiobook and thought that it had some really interesting sci-fi aspects. For example, the show having kind of a screen that tell you how much water you're using. I thought that this was a fun futuristic book and the plot twist really got me! Without spoiling anything, I thought that the love story between the two main characters was so cute! The only reason I gave is a lower rating was because the ending felt a little mellow considering that the whole story was so action packed; I was kind of hoping for a really big grand finale. I would listen to this book again though, it was a very cute love story!
