"As if I wasn't already hopelessly falling for him, he has to go and win over my dog too."
-Juliette Munroe, But He's My Grumpy Neighbor by Annah Conwell

A cute, darling romance! I adored the sweet, small community setting of cottages around a lake and the soft, gentle pace of this story. The FMC, Juliette, was tenderhearted and I loved her quirkiness and backstory. Pairing her with a seemingly grouchy MMC, Adrian, was the perfect mix of grumpy/sunshine. The dynamic between Adrian and his family was fun and often hilarious. In addition, I enjoyed the romance which had a touch of slow burn but felt oh, so right and had the perfect amount of swoon. Overall, a charming read from a new-to-me author and definite recommendation. I will be returning for more of the Carter Brothers in the future!

CW + TW: Clean and Wholesome, G Rating. Toxic parental relationship (lightly touched on), loss of parent and grief.

Cute and light!!

I truly enjoyed this book because it was just cute and romantic. I love Juliette's quirks and Adrian's grumpiness.

True to its word, the book has depressing undertones especially grieving and childhood trauma. They're not discussed in detail but they were topics touched on and were made relevant through the characters' reactions.

I can't wait for the other books in the series!

I was so excited for this and I know everyone seems to love it and I’m so glad so many people are enjoying it! I have read and enjoyed this author’s past work so it’s nothing personal! I will continue to read everything she writes!

These characters felt like… characters, maybe? I’m trying to put my finger on it. Juliette and Adrian didn’t feel like real people. Their interactions, conversations and even their arguments felt contrived. The way they acted, spoke and thought about things didn’t feel natural to me and their chemistry felt “off” somehow so I struggled to connect to them.

I did not connected with the story, she did everything correct but it's missing the fluffiness.

The story is simple, easy to follow but I got annoyed because I could not relate to the FMC past trauma n see why it is affecting her in this way and it's the same with the MMC. Like cry me a river.

She gave so much description for teas and all the unnecessary things but could not describe the FMC, she has blonde hair, brown eyes and she is soft.

PG13 doesnt have to be a boring love.
