This is your typical run of the mill rom com. It was fun but nothing particularly great or memorable. If you want a light and fun read I recommend this.

I'm so mad at myself for not reading this sooner because I LOVED IT. I don't see enough people talking about Mia Sosa and now I'm on a mission to change that.

I loved the concept for this book — I don't know that I've ever read a book where the love interest is an ex's sibling (ex-fiancé no less!) and I ATE it up. The chemistry was off the charts, the spicy scenes were perfection, and the way they fell in love slowly and then all at once was so beautiful to watch unfold.

I also loved the whole redemption arc for both Lina and Max. Lina was essentially pushed out of a job for being too emotional and she blossomed into this beautiful emotional being while still maintaining professionalism. Max always felt like he was in his brother's shadow, both in work and his personal life, and he found success in his professional life and love in his personal life, which just made me so happy for him.

I will read anything Mia Sosa writes. I can't wait to read The Wedding Crasher!

Very cute. Had some slightly cheesy parts but overall enjoyed reading it. Likable characters and a good build.

This was book #14 for Romanceopoly 2020.

Challenge Pack: Sun
Square: The Bar
Challenge: Read a book set where you live or have lived - it can be city/town/state/country...be as specific s you like!

This is the first romance that I have found that is set in DC and I love it. I'm super picky about stories being set in my hometown but Mia Sosa nailed it. The story doesn't have the characters visiting all the tourist site just because, instead they are in real neighborhoods and doing real things.

Lina and Max are my favorite new couple. Lina is a total control freak which I could completely relate to, and Max is chill that it's almost annoying. However together they are perfect. I love their banter and antics. I can't wait for Sosa's book about Max's best friend, Dean.
