This is another amazing contribution to the Wicked Earl's Club. Madeline Martin tells the story of an Earl who inherits his title from his English grandfather but Alistair is half Scottish and that is the side of the family he is most at home with. When his Scottish mother makes a deal to smuggle whiskey, Alistair steps in to make sure they both don't get arrested.
On top of his own problems, he finds a girl running for her life from an evil uncle. Emma needs to hide from her uncle for another month, then she'll turn 25 and inherit her fortune. She joins Alistair on his travels to Scotland and in the process they accidentally get married - you've got to love those Scottish marriage customs).
The characters were delightful, the story well written and it was a quick fun read to get to the Happily Ever After.
