Continuing my reread of the Sookie Stackhouse series, this book sees Sookie going along to a vampire conference to use her gifts to help the Queen of Louisiana! As always, this was filled with mystery action and amazing characters! And I can't wait to carry on! (In fact, I've dived straight into the next book! )

This was a good listen. It had a lot of action and a great plot. I wish it would cut back a bit on the overwhelming amount of characters and all the extra Vampire politics as it makes it hard to keep up with but other than that it was great. It was nice to have Sookie outside of Bon Temps and interacting with another telepath.

Quinn, so far, has been my favorite "boyfriend" of Sookie's and I wish they would spend more time together. I hope he does not diss her because of her blood tie to Eric.

This book was more interesting to me in the series than the previous one... but still not as great as the first couple. The entire book I was waiting for more and more of Eric and it just didn't seem to happen to the extent that I wanted it to. I think I am over Quinn... and am hoping that the next book puts a stop to that relationship... which I think it may. All and all I enjoyed the book and am looking forward to seeing what happens in the next book. I am curious to see how Charlaine Harris manages to pull all these conflicting love stories and other worldly threads together!
