Well, what can I say, Molly McAdams has a way with words that sucks you in and you just can't put down the book.

Whiskey the 2nd book in The Brewed series. This book is about the next Dixon, Cayson. The black sheep, the brother always pranking and getting in trouble. He left town almost 10 yrs ago and only spoke to his brother Sawyer ( Fix). No one knew his real reasons for leaving. Only one girl actually saw the real him, the same one who felt tortured by his pranks growing up.

Cayson comes back to their town of Amber not expecting the explosion of feelings when he sees Emberly for the first time. Emberly is relieved, confused, insecure and upset with the return of Cayson. These two have a great physical chemistry and such an emotional past that needs to be dealt with. Cayson comes home to an angry family and their reactions to his being gone.

Such an emotional and great read with some fun moments. You don't want to miss this book.

I enjoyed the first book in this series but this one had just too much angst for me.

Amazing book. I would give more then 5 stars if I could. This author has a way to bring you fully into the story and make you so invested in the characters. Such a great book

I enjoyed this book and am really liking the series as a whole. This book, however, dealt with heavier topics and you definitely felt that. I feel the first book had a smidge of that but was also more fun and light.

This book had love, happiness, sadness, torment, desire, friendship and everything in between. It had me in tears on confessions in a few chapters. I think I liked it better than the 1st book in this series (Fix)

read this last but glad i did because if i had to read this and then read hunter’s book…. i would’ve literally died. i was getting anxious listening to any moment of hunter even tho i know how it ended phew

anyway back to this book ! 3.5 rounded up! this one was good in detail but emberly and cason got sort of annoying with how back and forth they were. it made me frustrated lol i also felt nauseous thinking about falling in love with ur bully like ik that it turned out differently but there was still loads of teasing and i didnt like the underlying “i did it bc i liked you” message. just never sits right with me

this book was probs most graphic and heartbreaking. from cason being physical and verbal abused to emberly being sexually assaulted and bullied, those flashbacks were just a lot and made me the most sad.

Whiskey has a lot of potential. It is a story involving two broken characters who desperately trying to run from their past. Collides with each other and falls in love. There is also a forbidden romance vibe around it. Small town cruel gossip. And a whole lot of lies and betrayal. Oh throw it a family drama into the mix. Voila. You get Whiskey.

What I do not like is the middle of the story. It is full of angst. Angst that is written in a way has a lot showing but no telling. It is very frustrating read. Not to mention the push and pull between the characters becoming so maddening. Especially when I did not know what happened.

Oh and this book is also way too long. It really can be cut into a half. I feel tired finishing this book. I manage to finish this book.

Overall, it is OK read.
