I originally bought this for the bibliography at the end of the book. It truly is a great reference. Having finally read through the rest of the book, I came away feeling like it was worth the effort but not great. Noel is sometimes a little too excitable and certainly hagiographic. I feel like he’s saying “It’s always the silly, crazy ladies and men who try to take advantage of Byron. They were all cowards, fools or swindlers. If it weren’t for those people, ...”. It also seems like Noel really despised Shelley.
