Cute and the author has a nice style, but just really not feeling it. Mimi and Jack really turned me off of the book for some reason.

An English country village story about the towns folk and their lives, and their love of Jane Austen. A nice light hearted read.

2.5 stars This book is only okay. It feels like she was trying to write an Austin like book, but it missed the mark. There were too many characters, I would say it would have been better to focus on a few mains and have some supporting characters. The book had a really slow first and second act and then a really fast third act where everything was wrapped up in a nice little bow, too nice in fact. I don’t regret reading it but wouldn’t recommend

Cute. An eclectic group coming together for a common interest.

This was a heartwarming story and gave turns in plot when I did not expect them.

A charming historical fiction book set in the small town of Chawton, the location of Jane Austen's last home. A group of individuals band together to form the Jane Austen Society and work to preserve her home and make it into a museum. All ends well on all fronts -- the work of the Society, as well as the romantic partnerships. Everyone in the book club enjoyed it, which is not surprising because we are all Jane Austen fans.

How it dragged!! My goodness! The pacing was so slow! The Society didn’t even form until almost half way through and then a lot of things happen off paper, important things we just hear about, not impressed.
