I feel like this book doesn’t land. It is unclear who the audience is and I just feel like it’s too complicated for children. I also feel like I appreciate the interactive nature of it but just don’t like it.

A confussion story about some crayons getting mail before Christmas. Art works was okay, but could have been better. Same goes for the storyline. Still it is a good read for kids.

Hilarious addition to the the Crayons' series, this one follows a few of the crayons as they prepare for Christmas. Peach receives clothes (finally) from his parents who are vacationing in Florida. Beige crayons receives his father's "secret" recipe for hot cocoa and gluten free cookies which were actually just store bought items. It ends with Duncan, the crayons owner, receiving a very special gift from the crayons who appreciate him the most. Sweet little read for the holidays with a nod to The Jolly Postman.

Continuing the tradition of the other Crayons texts, we see various letters arrive, ranging from the crayons' parents to crayons on vacation. Fans of the series will adore this book with it's continued use of puns and character favorites, though be warned that there are pieces that will easily get used/lost.

For: fans of the other Crayons books; readers wanting a Christmas book that ties in beloved characters.

Possible red flags: many, many pieces.

Perhaps if I were looking to use it with my own kids, I would love it. The fun of it (the interactive stickers) is taken out of play when a public library copy is involved. =(
