Really just a teaser for the full book. But I enjoyed reading it and look forward to reading the full book someday.

A bit shallow, but it was barely a chapter of a prologue with just enough information to hook me into wanting to read the rest of the freebie stories and the real books. I especially liked the description of Apple White's father (you know, Snow White's husband/prince) as "his claim to fame had been falling in love with a comatose girl inside a glass coffin." Deliciously morbid and biting.

Much too short. There's not really any story, feels more like a deleted scene. The pop culture references were funny though (Apple White's mirror phone plays "What Makes You Charming" by One Reflection).

Impossible to find the PDF for this, it’s only a couple of pages long.
Also it’s just the preview of the first official book of the series.
Just read The Storybook of Legends and you’ll have read this too.

Ok so this little add on was totally adorable and since it was free the only complaint I have about this short story is that it was actually a part of the first book. I felt that if you are saying this is something different, gave it a different title then it should be different. Other than that if you have all the others, and you are looking to see if you will like this series these little stories give you an idea of the world and the writing style.

It's weird to have this count as part of the Goodreads "books read" tally when it's really just a couple of pages. It's doesn't even feel like a full chapter, more like an excerpt.

Of all the Ever After High characters so far, Apple seems to be one of my least favorites. She just seems snobby.

"Snoozy! Snappy!" Apple called to her dwarf lackeys. "The first four trunks are ready to go. Would you be so kind as to carry them down? You, too, Pouty--don't you stick out that bottom lip, you silly."

"Apple's father stood beside his wife, one hand on his sword hilt, always ready to do battle--though of course he'd never actually done any battle. His claim to fame had been falling in love with a comatose girl inside a glass coffin. But he looked so regal with a sword."
