I remember finding this crossover uneven when it first came out. Re-reading it all these years later finds it slightly less so, but not particularly improved either. Top cow is already sewing the seeds of the Darkness and Witchblade as part of some larger cosmic equation but, as is evident here, they are still unsure (or later just flat-out decided to change...and change again) what that equation was.
