Incredibly good, probably one of the best books in the series to be honest. I loved the cliffhanger ending. It also seemed like it was the precursor to Tophs career in law enforcement and I really enjoyed being able to see the origin of that. I felt like the first book kind of started this storyline off slow, but the second really picked it up. One thing I've also noticed is that this rendition of the ATLA characters feels very authentic, even more so than the older comics and I think that says a lot about Faith Erin Hicks grasp of the avatar world. Not to say that the other books that came before it were bad... Just different. The Sokka humor for example really seemed to shine through in this imbalance series and that is always delightful.

Another interesting installment of the post-show chronicles. This time, the fight is between benders and non-benders and benders claiming superiority. I like the parallels to history and power struggles, and how the Avatar creative team is tackling it. The story is yet to be resolved, as fans have to wait for the third in the series, but as for now, it’s good storytelling. I’m really enjoying the new art style, while not a perfect match to the show, the colors are gorgeous. I love Sokka pulling Easter eggs from the show like his disguises from last episodes. Such fun callbacks. I look forward to the conclusion to this series.

now THIS is starting to feel like a better gapping to the original ATLA series to The Legend of Korra!
curious to see if/when blood-bending is gonna be introduced in the comics
