This book was riveting. I simply could not put it down. It is a story within a story, where the writing of the story is a part of the plot, and I am enamored with it.

This book was a beautiful yet heartbreaking story about friendship that I enjoyed quite a lot. It did take me a while to get into the book and I found it to be slow at some points but all together it was a really good book and I'm glad I read it.

This is one of my all time favorite historical fiction books. The friendship between the two main characters is one of the best I've read in a long time.  Not to mention the reveals in the last third of the book that make it so satisfying.
