Sophie and Connor were close friends five years ago when they were both in college. Sophie knew that Connor had deeper feelings for her. But before these feelings could be explored, Sophie receives a music record deal and promptly leaves her old life, including Connor behind.

After a traumatic time in the industry, Sophie is back in Washington DC. Away from the controlling and toxic atmosphere of the entertainment industry, Sophie is determined to finish her college degree and forge her future on her terms.

What she wasn’t expecting to happen was to run into Connor again on campus where he teaches a class. Now a successful businessman, Connor is shocked yet pleasantly surprised to run into his old friend again. Despite how she had left him without a word, Connor is determined to rediscover what might have been and help Sophie overcome the trauma of her past.

However, her old life is not done with her yet and toxic leeches are determined to pull her back under.

This is Book One in the Infamous series and does leave you on a cliffhanger. This was a great novel by new author Ivy Wild and am looking forward to reading Book Two!

I received a free e-ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This was my first book by this author and I enjoyed it.

Sophie and Connor have a past and this takes place as they reconnect when Sophie reappears at the college Connor is teaching a seminar at. From the moment they see each other it’s an emotional, angsty ride while they start a relationship. Sophie still has some secrets of what took place in the years they were separated.

I enjoyed the storyline and there was definitely an incredible chemistry between Connor and Sophie. It’s written in 3rd person which isn’t my favorite but it was written well enough that I got pulled in and enjoyed it.

The only negative I felt was that it would randomly switch POV from one paragraph to the next which was a bit distracting since you don’t know when to expect it and it may take a sentence or 2 before you realize that it’s a different characters POV.

Best friends to lovers book, the story of Connor and Sophia hade me reading it from start to finish, this is the first book and I really enjoyed it, I love how this time the girl is the one who leaves only to be back and find herself colliding with her past high school boy she left behind. It was refreshing and I can't wait to find out more. I need next book like now.

This was my first book by the author and it is about Sophie a fallen singer and Conner the guy she left behind once she got her start in the music industry. Sophie returns to her hometown after a scandal and needs time away from the spotlight but in doing something to avoid all she has known for the past few years enrolls in college to finish out her degree but has no idea that her best friend Connor now is a part time professor and runs into him accidentally but he’s not the same nice guy he once was the one willing to do anything for Sophie that all changed once she left him behind and never bothered to contact him not at all. However some things remain the same as they both deal with her coming back.

Overall, it was an enjoyable read and keeps the reader interested in seeing how things could turn out for them. There are ups and downs, plus a petty little witch that won’t seem to go away no matter how many times she’s told, you’ll just have to read it to see whom I’m talking about. One thing I will mention it ends on a cliffhanger just so you know. I’ll definitely have to see what happens in the next book.

This is the first book I've read from this author and all I can say is.....WOW! After reading the blurb for this book I was intrigued and couldn't wait to read this story which definitely didn't disappoint. From the first chapter to the last I was seduced by Connor, the dominant, dirty talking, sexy as hell businessman and cheering on Sophie the sweet, beautiful, fiery redhead that was ready to take back her life after leaving her celebrity status behind. These two friends denied themselves the one thing they truly wanted.... each other, all because they were afraid of destroying what they had. If you're a friends-to-lovers junkie than this is the book for you but be prepared you most definitely will either scream or throw your kindle with the last few pages of this roller-coaster ride that will have you begging for the next book!

After leaving college five years prior to pursue a music career, Sophie comes back to school to finish out her degree after her music career crashed. When she went back to school she ran into her old best friend, Conner, who she abandoned without any notice and ignored for the next five years. She was not prepared to see him again let alone intern at his company in order to graduate.

With this being a trilogy I was beyond excited that it wasn't a long drawn out slow burn getting these to together. I loved that they both had their reservations at first but didn't hold back when jumping into more than friends. I was pleasantly surprised what I believe to be a debut book and was very disappointed that the book ended when it did. I was so engrossed in the story and was not ready for it to be over. This was a fun and steamy beginning to this trilogy and I am eagerly awaiting the next installment.

Wow. Hot alpha male in a suit - check. Sassy redhead with hidden secrets - check. Steamy sex scenes - check.

The journey from friends to strangers to lovers is not an easy one - but it’s definitely one of my favourite tropes. The relationship between Sophie and Connor is so intense and full of history, I can’t wait to see what happens next...

Oh yeah, and that cliffhanger? It’s got me stressed. I’m so excited to find out what has Sophie so scared and the ‘scandals’ that are following her around!! Oh, and Connor is kinda dreamy!
I highly recommend this book to each and every single one of you!
