Dark Blue suit is an interesting collection of short stories about the Filipino-American experience. As are many books written concerning immigrants and 1st/1.5/2nd generation people, it is oftentimes sad. However, one of the reasons why I probably enjoyed this collection so much is that it was one of the only books about Filipinos that I could order, much less find at a local library or bookstore. From this collection, one may see many different faces and experiences of immigrants (whether Filipino or not) as well as how different people's experiences circumstances intersect and diverge.
