This was definitely a 4 Star read for me in terms of unconventional characters and plot development and that SUPER sweet ending that made it feel like bunch of fuzzy bunnies was cuddling my heart. Unfortunately, this was really only half of their story, so I deducted 1/2 a star.

Even though this book ran along the same lines as other authors do, what made it different was the connection, and I just loved that. To have that sort of pull without knowing someone that long, yet minding the control and not having them jump in that fast was what really set the pace for me. Really enjoyed it thoroughly.

Aleksandr Voinov AND Amy Lane? Don't mind if I do...
These two fabulous authors have produced a quick story that is both sexy and utterly adorable. I'm looking forward to continuing Malcolm and Owen's story in City Mouse.
Favorite Quotes:
“You can’t.” It was all he had.
“Can’t what?”
“Can’t . . . can’t just go away. Can’t just . . . You can’t get on that train and charge out of my life. It’s not fair. I can’t work, dammit! I . . . I made a bad trade. I made a bad trade. How dare you? How dare you walk into my flat and . . . and then just . . . just walk out again? How can you even—” His voice was shaking, and Owen, blessed, blessed Owen, didn’t make him suffer.
Those arms—those long, muscular arms—were suddenly around his shoulders, and now he could do more than breathe again, he could think again.
“How could you just let me?” Owen asked, his voice as ragged as Malcolm’s.
“I’m the emotionally repressed one,” he said against Owen’s chest. “You’re the one who’s supposed to know better.”
(96-7%, Malcolm & Owen)

I loved the characters, the writing, and best of all the dialogue. There was too much sex for me, but I skimmed some of those parts, so that was okay. The ending was very sweet. The authors did an amazing job with characterizations in such a short space. It was a great, feel-good story.

Malcolm is a jaded city trader, hiding behind his big bad dom persona.
Owen is a fresh faced yank on holiday, fresh out of college.
A great fun story of opposites meeting and not conforming to the original impressions made. Great, strong sex scenes and a very sappy trader, a book I really enjoyed.

This was a hot, sweet, short story about a bar pick-up that gradually transforms over a long weekend into something much more. The sex was great and the two men were fascinating. I really enjoyed the way they slowly revealed each other as a complex individual and found that sense of connection.
