Aww, a wedding! a carnival! Loved it. It just made be happy. Also, it’s nice to be reading these short stories right after Magic for Nothing because of the carnival story in that too, a fun connection.

I don't love the Fran Brown/Jonathan Healy plot thread as much as I love the Verity Price ones. Verity kind of kicks Fran's butt. Still, the Aeslin mice play a large role in this group of short stories, which is always a good thing.
