The stories by Joss are great. Most of the others are almost as good. Overall, very enjoyable and an exciting addition to the slayer mythology. I did like Tales of the Vampires better, but, well, me and vampires...

THIS feels like Buffy. Nice twists and turns, amazing background beyond Buffy. The art is beautiful and various. I'm a big fan of this volume. Definitely will pick this up again and again.

I always loved the Buffy episodes that dealt with former slayers or told vampire backstories, so this volume was pretty awesome for me. I'd love to see a reboot of Buffy that was like this book - stories of different slayers and different vamps through time.

My sister and I have been working on collecting the dark horse Buffy comics, so I got this giant book for her birthday (and of course read it myself) and I loved the variety of art styles and all of the little vignettes set in the Buffy universe.

So hard to rate something made up of shorter stories, each one written by someone different, with separate artists.
Hands down, Joss Whedon is my favourite. His stories speak of experience. The other stories are written by various contributors of the Buffy TV show. Some of them are winners, while other fall short. Severe lack of dialogue was a little annoying at times, although I suppose they're trying to essentially narrate action sequences. Sometimes it would be better if the narrator took a back seat and let the artist tell the story.
