Narrated by several famous voices mainly the author herself. I enjoyed hearing the different voices and wished they had more air time. Of course Amy pulled some funny cards out and played them well, it's what she does. She also goes into her real life, her drama, growing up, high school, college, marriage, birth, divorce, work hunting. This was a much more serious book than I wanted. She is honest, somewhat brutally and bares her bones to the world.
Why didn't I give it a higher rating ? There were a couple reasons, It was so serious, and she is too young to write her biography. Okay maybe she's not too young but I would have like a more aged story. I went and got it knowing nothing about it except she wrote it. My fault, I needed more fun at the time I listened to this.

I listened to this book in my car while I was out and about. A fun, light listening experience and Amy has a great voice for the audio book. She made me laugh out loud many times, especially when she is bantering in the studio with a guest.

Good, honest, but without feeling sensationalistic. I particularly enjoyed the sections where she gives some insight into the inner workings of Parks and Recreation, and also the essay in which she details her love for her boys, including how she would eat them if there were a humane way to do so. I can so identify with that emotion, with that intense love that makes every part of your little one just delicious. This book had some good laughs, but I still think Tina Fey's Bossypants takes the crown.

Part memoir, part manual for life, this is an enjoyable read. I particularly loved the chapters about some of her more recent collaborators and her sons.

I read this as an audiobook which made it a lot better. Some of the stories were really great but others seemed a bit long. Fun to hear behind the scenes of some parks and rec.

I expected it to be good because it's Amy and she's amazing. But this book was straight up incredible. Full of little lessons hidden in lines of comedy. A great read for anyone.

I wanted to like this book. I got halfway through and finally let myself just give up. I’ve never particularly cared for Amy Poehler as a comedian, but I never doubted she was talented. She’s just not up my alley. The book was poorly written, self-indulgent, and dragging. Occasionally she had a good point but the road it took to get to that point was very rocky. It’s a relief to put it down.
