I love memoirs, and this one was so interesting to read because of the perspective of being in jail. Since reading this, my husband and I have been watching 60 Days In, which gives me even more perspective. However, while reading this, it felt like the author wanted us to feel bad for her being in jail, when indeed she was a criminal. I understand that certain jails need to have better guidelines and treat inmates better, but in the end, you did commit a crime, and jail isn't going to be a nice stay at a resort. That's why I rated it 4 stars, because the book felt slightly whiney about her stay in jail....

Fantastic memoir. I was truly rooting for her throughout her story!

Truly amazing. To read the truths that the author, Lara Love Harding, experienced and overcome, is more than just inspirational. Giving up would have been the easiest “out” so often, but her love for her sons was paramount in her heart and mind. I am cheering her on, even after I finished the book and hope she continues experiencing only success, happiness and long, healthy life.
