In which Danny's fire goes out, and he has to travel to the farthest north to battle ice worms, find phoenixes, accidentally make a phoenix chick imprint on Wendell's glasses, and eat a bunch of eggshells. I love this series.

Always so much fun! And now we have to wait for them in real time. Blargh.

My daughter and I have read all the Danny Dragonbreath books together in the past year or so. We were both so excited that a new one was coming out! And it did not disappoint! This time, Danny has caught a cold, a quite literally cold that threatens to put out his fire. His stalwart companions, Wendell and Christiana, on the advice of Great Grandfather Dragonbreath must undertake a new quest: To the Frozen North!

My daughter and I both really enjoyed this clever and heart-warming book. The Danny-Wendell-Christiana friend group is a classic to rival Harry-Ron-Hermione. We hope Ms. Vernon doesn't get tired of writing these guys, because we're definitely not tired of reading them!

This is a really fun conclusion to the series. I enjoyed getting to see more mythical creatures, as well as one last trip through Great-Grandfather Dragonbreath's magical portal (which is inside his fridge). The humor in this one was stellar; there were so many quotes I wanted to make note of!

I am -SO SAD- that this is the end of the series. I honestly like Harriet better than Danny, but.... I'm gonna miss Danny something fierce.
