Nash has to be one of my favorite mmc’s that I have read this year! This book would be perfect if it didn’t have so many mysteries and plots happening at the same time. I wanted more Nash and Maddie scenes, but understand that Catherine was probably trying to set up the characters for the later books in the series!

This was fine. The suspense was kind of predictable and the romance was a bit bland. I think romantic suspense just isn't for me. I'm finding it rare for books in this sub-genre to have both the romance and suspense well developed.

I’m very much becoming a fan of this authors writing! Her books just have the perfect balance of romance and suspense. 

 

I do love the childhood friends to lovers trope and Nash and Maddie delivered—the pining went HARD. My heart hurt for Maddie, this girl went through so much (check TW) but I’m glad she had Nash there for her. I just loved the way he loved her—he is serious book boyfriend material! I really adored them together. 

 

“Even when you were gone, the echoes of you still lived inside me, and I would play them over and over in my mind just so I wouldn’t lose the sound.”🥹

I ADORED this book! Nash and Maddie were the best friends to lovers. I loved how protective Nash was of Maddie and was always doing his best to keep her safe. Adam was a psycho and Dan flew off the handle at the end. I wish Dan’s character did a little more to warrant his ending, kinda seemed out of nowhere with his hatred towards Nash. Overall I loved this one, and can’t wait to read Grae and Caden’s book!
