once again catherine has ripped my heart out and put it back together. i am completely and utterly obsessed with maddie and nash. echoes of you is a masterpiece and it makes so much sense bc so is wishers of you. this series is the first i’ve read from catherine and i was lucky enough to get an arc of both and immediately fell in love. catherine is the only author who has gotten me to like romantic suspense and i eat it up every single time. nash is the standard. he is everything and way more. maddie is such a woman. my god has she been through so much and she deserves every bit of goodness. she is such a strong and inspiring character and i felt for her so much. nash and maddie are definitely favorites and i was so glad to see holt and wren along with the rest of the crew in this book. everyone is so supporting and loving and i wish i could just live in this series and be adopted into their family because it is everything.

thank you so so much catherine for sending me an arc and becoming a new favorite author of mine. i will forever love these books and can’t wait for the rest of the lost and found series!!

“I’d love Nash Hartley for as long as I could remember. Cesar Ridge was just a place. But Nash would always be my home”.

This was cute yet also interspersed with some anxiety inducing questions. This has just as much angst and suspense as the first book in the series.

“Because the truth was, I wanted Maddie more than my breath. But I wanted her safe and whole most of all”

Felt the chemistry between these two from the beginning. And the narcissistic ex added another hurdle to them confessing their true feelings for each other.

“You’re the best person I’ve ever known. The fact that he made you doubt that makes me want to gut him and do it slow”

Like that we also got some flashbacks to their relationship as kids.

“He’s wrong. I know you. Down to your soul. If you’ve forgotten who you are, ask me, and I’ll remind you”

Don’t mind friends to lovers but felt this one did it well. Really enjoyed watching them discover their mutual attraction to one another, even after all those years.

“I’ve loved you every day I’ve known uoh. No one has ever made me feel safer. More cared for. More myself.

Once again I do love a book with a good bunch of siblings (Bridgerton, The Edens, The Hathaways).

“What would you do without your interfering siblings?”
“Love a peaceful, relaxing life”

Man... I loved this book from start to finish. I'm not usually a fan of the best friends trope... but in this case I loved it. I loved the complexities of Nash and Maddy, and how they both worked through their issues and their guilt to come together. There were twists and turns I didn't see coming! This series is definitely bingeable!

⭐️⭐️⭐️
Overall not a bad book, I liked how Maddie was written and how it showed the cycle of abuse with DV that she was stuck in for so long. It was written well and empathetically which I always appreciate.

I felt that there was too much going on throughout the book, with multiple instigators. We had Maddie’s dad, her ex as well as Dan and Kevin who had it out for Nash. It was too much in my opinion and felt forced and overly dramatic.
I also disliked how it seemed to have taken things that happened in book 1 and recycled them, such as Maddie being attacked and knocked out after going out for some air, and later being abducted - both having happened to Wren in Whispers of You.

I’m not sure that I’ll continue this series based on this book.

Fun afternoon read

Just a quick fun read. I know I started with the second book, but there is SO MUCH stuff being alluded to that its hard to see this as a stand-alone. The characters are fun and easy to empathize with, and really make you want to read about the whole family.
Perfect for a romantic, suspenseful afternoon read
