This book was incredible. As a South African myself, I didn’t always have the best relationship with my hair. And only the past few years have I worn it in it’s natural state. I didn’t realise that a children’s book could get me so emotional but it did. And I’m glad that our youth can be exposed to this book, as it doesn’t not only provide insight on how our natural hair can be styled, but it is introduced with love and enthusiasm. Something that little girls (and boys) need to be exposed to. So when they look at their hair, they just see it for the beauty that it is.
