My Review and Teachers’ Tools for Navigation: I love The Beatles. There has never been anyone like them and that is what this book is about. It is about their popularity, their brilliance, and their humor. I liked how although the book is nonfiction and a biography of the Fab Four, it was about more than that. It was about how they changed over time and how they changed us over time. It was also quite funny to read some of their interviews and see how they dealt with the fame that enveloped them so quickly. All with illustrations that were a bit zany and like caricatures, but were so well done. This picture book is definitely an excellent introduction to The Beatles for our 21st century kids.

Funny picture book with great illustrations that discussed the early years of the Beatles' careers. I love a lot of the Beatles' music, so my daughter recognized some of the songs which made her enjoy this book that much more.

A beautifully (and somewhat surreal) illustrated look at the personalities of The Beatles.

I enjoyed reading this book with my own background of the Beatles. So many young children today are unfamiliar with this iconic band and this book will help explain some of the early phenomenon. I like that this book is short enough it will hold young children's attention. It gives enough basic information while spanning the majority of the band's career. I think this would be a really fun book for parents to read with their children. Maybe have a little Beatles music in the background!

Oh, what a fun book! This is a great child-friendly introduction to the Beatles. It doesn't contain a lot of biographical information, but it explains Beatlemania and presents the Fab Four as funny friends. Back matter includes a basic Beatles timeline and a list of sources. This won't be a book kids turn to for research, but it makes a FAB gift for young Beatles fans or the elementary school children of Beatles fans.

Nice introduction to the early career of the Beatles but doesn't tell of their successes during their less clean-cut period. Too bad Krull didn't expand into the days of Sgt Pepper, Yellow Submarine, and The Magical Mystery Tour. Perhaps she was afraid to intorduce these to her young readers. It's a shame though, because there is so much more to tell.

For kids who don't know, lots of interesting facts and some of the hard parts about being famous.
