So much fun! I really love Terry Pratchett's writing and the Discworld is an amazing setting.

It's just a little weird when your favorite character is the Luggage.

I thought this was as enjoyable as its predecessor and I loved the first book! It's just so witty and charming that it's impossible to hate. Pratchett has a very "light" writing style that's heavy on the humor, intellect, and fantasy. This is a great continuation of a brilliant start.

On to #3.

Three times I've read this book. The 3rd was by far the best. It really is the best of Rincewind. Eric is his most fun adventure, but The Light Fantastic is where all the heart is. I wish this was the version of Rincewind we saw in the rest of the series. It starts on a wonderfully absurd and whimsical note and leaves the reader feeling satisfied and optimistic.

Now I gave The Colour of magic four stars but this makes you reassess things because this is a definate set up making the humour in the first one seem dry and weak in comparison. I also think Rincewins and Twoflower are more likeable in this one although im not sure if they appear in anymore discworld novels after this one. Death is even likeable in this even though I wouldnt like to meet him myself right now.

The colour of Magic is really a three stars compared to this because you can sense a jump in quality and that Terry is finding his feet in this one , which maybe the luggage had borrowed in the first one. Erm maybe im getting into this world too much.
