DNF @ 17%. I like the sweet/low-angst vibes of this interspecies marriage of convenience romance, and I could even get over the whole lizard thing (despite my general rule of not reading books with main characters that are related to things I can find in the garden)… but I’m not loving the “outsider coming in to save the day” direction this book is taking. I might read one of the later books in the series and come back to this one.

It is a lovely story, fill of hope and hot hot 🔥 romance,
It is written in a very easy way that, after all the hardcore stuff I have been about, it was simply perfect.
The story can ,irrorsome real situations of immigration experiences, how hard it can be to leave all that know and live, and also sometimes hate and fear, for something completely knew and foreign. The open mindedness the characters show is enviable and admirale.
