Sad, yet interesting ending. Overall, this volume was really fun and it had some twist and turns. Henry's storyline was good and the final story was good as well.

Definitely one of my favorites in the series so far, Vol. 3 follows Pearl and Henry for the first half and then brings us back to Felicia Book and Cash McCogan for the second half. Henry signs up to join the fight in the Pacific and comes face to face with a new breed of vampire. And that breed was awesome! One of the things I love about this series is that the vampires differ from group to group and each has strengths and weaknesses that the others lack. I've always loved Pearl so it was great to see her continue to take part in the action. And seeing Felicia and Cash hunt Nazi vampires was awesome! I mean, how do you not love Nazi vampires? Definitely one I'd recommend if you like vampires and/or graphic novels!

It was fine, the overall story didn't progress a lot but it was nice side story about what our main vampires have been doing, mostly hunting vampires and looking for a cure. I'm just not a fan of Nazi storylines, it always feels like American propaganda.

Absolutely eating this series up. Love the lore we’re being given and I can’t wait to see where it goes next

I just didn’t enjoy this volume of American Vampire as much as I did the previous 2 volumes. The first story “Strange Frontier” was incredibly fun as it continues with Skinner Sweets still “following” Pearl & her husband Henry as they come out of hiding to throw in with the war effort.
It was the second story “Survival of the Fittest” a 5 part story that I just didn’t find interesting in the slightest nor did I care for the art.
