I’d read some of the essays in high school but glad I eventually went back and read the whole collection. Crazy how she can write about Bogota and orchids and the Ritz Carlton and migraines with most distinct, razor sharp commentary. I crave her self-assuredness.

A good collection of essays from this icon of 60s and 70s (and 80s?) non-fiction. Occasionally gets a bit too self-indulgent, but that's the writer.
