If there is ever a zombie outbreak which threatens to consume the entire world, I want myself in a tall, sturdy bell tower, with a sniper rifle, enough ammunition, and of course, food and water to last for some time. Some books also would be good. As for a pass time, there would be a legion of disposable moving targets around to keep my mind away from the impending existential dread, loneliness and terror.

That's precisely what a former ballot dancer turned ace sniper Svetlana is up to, when the whole world turned to shit, following a zombie outbreak. That is until her monotonous life is interrupted by an orphan boy, a dog, and a former Nazi general.

The story, which was too short, delivered on action, as well as characters which we are invested in. But I really wish this premise and dynamics was explored further.

I liked the concept, and there were some great action scenes/layouts, but this never "hooked" me. I liked the fact that visuals dominated, rather than text, as well. However, I found the introduction explain the concept more interesting and emotionally engaging than the work itself. The linework was also a little too loose for my taste.

I received this book through the Goodreads giveaways program. This does not in any way affect my review.

The art had a nice style but the story didn't really grab me. It seemed very generic to me and it didn't have anything to make it stand out and make me want to read more of the series. I can see how other people would really enjoy it but it didn't work out for me.

I love reading about zombies. I love reading about World War II. But this is unsatisfying. It has such a cool hook, but it feels like that goes nowhere. :-/

Autographed edition given to me by Dawn

I preferred this to the other two Fubar books that I read. The artwork was consistently well done and I like the main storyline and character.
