It was supposed to be hopeful, but it felt a bit hopeless in a familiar way I am tired of.

I did enjoy the body horror-ish fungal infection stuff.

Pretty good! I’ve been reading a lot of queer body horror with mushrooms and scientists should unpack that one day

Tightly written and delivered a lot for a 16 page story. Would love to read more by this author.

Otimista ou pessimista? Acho que depende da interpretação,
se a criança (?) vai ser a primeira da nova espécie ou a última humana do planeta.

First book I've read in 2022 published in 2022! Interesting premise - what if the zombie fungus that infects ants could infect humans? Unfortunately, I didn't love it. It felt too short and compressed and I didn't care at all what was happening.

Didn't really do anything for me. I've encountered enough with cordyceps that it by itself doesn't spark much interest and I think I would have preferred more development with the characters and story.
