Wow. Really interesting series. A few like it already but I love the realworld feel of the ObamaCare like points.

For all your physics-related emergencies, there's only one entity to call: the FBP. Whether it's just a localized loss of gravity or a full-blown bubble universe threatening to consume an entire city block, the FBP is there. Or they were until a mission goes horribly wrong and the political forces pushing for privatization get the perfect opportunity to discredit the FBP. Now, there are only a handful of dedicated agents left and the private industry is taking over. Adam Hardy has been dutifully serving FBP for years, but when he and his partner get caught up in a collapsing "bubbleverse", Adam begins to realize that a conspiracy is at play and has been for years. Adam's father died in a similar situation and the dots are now starting to connect for Adam.
This new comic series has a fantastic premise that is, by and large, well executed. The artwork is lovely and has a very organic feel to it, in spite of its somewhat unusual color palette. I didn't really feel like I got to know Adam as a character very well, but there's plenty of time for his character to develop. Adam's new partner, Rosa, is a welcome addition to the otherwise predominantly male cast. FBP also gets bonus points for having not just one, but two POC main characters.

I was really exited for this book because the art looked beautiful and I've been wanting to read something good in the science fiction genre. While the art was definitely impressive, I was less impressed with the story. It might just not have been my cup of tea but I found myself uninterested.

This one is a weirder one than I expected. It took me a while to really get into, it's sort of a story about a federal bureau that investigates/deals with science disasters, but the whole thing felt really weird and disjointed to me. I had a lot of trouble diving in even after what is admittedly a pretty bang-up first chapter.

Overall, I'm not sure I'll stick with this. We'll see.

I do like the concept, I genuinely do, even when I have 3 text boxes of meandering science talk. And the story is strong enough to back it up. However, I really, really couldn’t get into the art. When I could understand what was going on and could recognize the character within a panel, it just looked like the rough sketches BEFORE the touch ups. Artwork is in the eye of the beholder many times though, so if you do love a science driven graphic, check this out!

I’d like to see where this story is headed. Will definitely give the second trade a go.

Super fun graphic novel, where the laws of physics have begun to fail, and the agents of the Federal Bureau of Physics, or the FBP, are always on the case to save everyone's asses!

Very interesting! It's a mix of sci-fi and conspiracy. What if the laws of physics would periodically break down, there was a government agency funded to protect citizens from it, a bad guy looking to unfund it so private insurance could grow, and wormholes? At times a bit confusing, but worth rereading to get the point. Fun enough that I'll continue with volume 2.

Good art, great premise. I am definitely looking forward to more of this series. Volume one seemed like a great set up.
