it's a thriller for your average white Christian woman who clutches her pearls at the tamest occurrence. it's so normal it hurts.

This story was well told and the narration was great. The descriptive wording helped the story to unfold at an appropriate pace. The story had several layers each more and more interesting. Highly recommend!

Just another so-so thriller with a super slow burn. The pace was way off, with basically no action up until about 2/3 of the way through the book, where it then fluctuated from being interesting to flat out boring again. It was a game of back and forth between two women until one woman comes out on top and, for me, it got kind of exhausting keeping up with them. I felt no connection to the characters and found myself turning the pages, not because I wanted to know what happened next, but just to get it over with.
