This somewhat reminded me of Nagata Kabi's memoir manga. It's very honest, and a little sad. I hope that Pesuyama feels much better after getting their story out there. Personally I really enjoyed learning about what it's like to be genderqueer in japan. I've read some of the other books Emily Balistrieri has translated and she does a great job. I enjoyed keeping some of the japanese words in there (romanized of course) to learn about pronouns, honorifics, and slang.

I'm excited to pick up the next book because this one ends in somewhat of a cliffhanger.

Very relatable. Took me a couple of tries to get through it because it kept being a bit /too/ relatable and close to my own experience. Hope the author found writing this cathartic.
